The "my homepage" link is inside a separate menu (the one with my user name) and not in "my groups", like others groups.
I suggest to move to "my groups"
It could be in the two menus also...

From Jorge: We were considering adding the personal homepage on top of the drop-down list of groups, separated by an horizontal line as is now "create you own group".
